Day 2 – Plyometrics
“Damn, this is hard work!”
Those were my words through the entire workout. When I finished I was as wasted as when I did a hard interval workout on the treadmill. I’m going to need some “vitamin I” later in the day. Not only were the exercises tough on my legs, the whole thing is done at an aerobic pace. My HR averaged 132 and peaked at 157, about my normal Z2 bike with some intervals!
After the workout, Weazer and I went over to the firehouse and voted. Since it was still pretty early in the morning, we were in and out within 5 minutes. As we left, the parking lot was beginning to fill up with voters.
i’m following your posts on the P90X… i’ve seen it pop up in a few stores in my area, and have *almost* picked it up twice… i’m curious to see how you find doing the workouts plus your tri training, etc! Good luck! 😀
Melanie – P90X is definitely hard core, but they do show modifications for lower impact, or those less fit, plus you can always hit the pause button to catch your breath.
I’m going to try to post every day I follow the program, so it’s great to know that you and others will be following along to help keep me honest!
OMG…that’s totally what i’m starting now that I finished IMFLA..last race of the season. I love P90X, did it on the off season last year and had amazing results, keep it up!!
Shelly – congrats on another IM finish! I think that makes it #11 or #12! you are an animal!
